Bilingual Banking Customer Service Advisor (Insurance) - Laval

Our client, a leading Canadian banking institution, is looking for Insurance Advisers to join their team. We are looking for bilingual professionals that have financial market knowledge with strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills. 

 

Permanent role

Salary: starts at $43800, can be negotiable 

Full-time: 37.5 hours, 7.5 hour shifts

Monday to Friday, 7.5 hour shifts between 8am to 8pm and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.
Full-rotational schedule – Must be Flexible

Location: Laval, QC

 

Must haves are:

  • Fluently bilingual (French / English)
  • Quick learner, high achiever 
  • Awareness of financial markets
  • Strong communication skills
  • Multi-tasking different, software and computer savvy
  • Flexibility to work various schedules
  • 2 years of experience in customer service/sales/call centre
  • University degree, college diploma, or AMF damage insurance license

 

Summary:

The Insurance Advisor is responsible for counselling individuals in regards to their auto and property insurace requirements. Maintaining a high level of service for clients through sales and service calls is the main function of the Insurance Advisor as well as:

•Achieve sales, quotes and call targets.
•Ensure quality and productivity objectives are met.
•Process call backs, submissions and mail in a timely manner.
•Promote company features and benefits.
•Cross sell a variety of products. 
•Promote client loyalty through relationship-building.
•Remain current on all company policies and procedures.
•Accept risks within established guidelines.

 

Job Requirements :

•Strong aptitude for sales
•Excellent customer service skills
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
•Organization and time management skills
•Professional telephone manner
•Proven ability to work in a fast-paced envirnment 
•Tech savvy
•Call centre and/or insurance experience 
•Fluently bilingual (French / English)
•Post-graduate degree or diploma
•2 years of experience in customer service or sales or call center
•Valid Agent’s or Broker’s Licence in damage insurance delivered by AMF (an asset)

*Candidates must be prepared to study and write the license exam before undergoing intensive training on insurance products. All resources will be provided and all training is paid.
