Our client, a leading global producer of fluid flow equipment, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their Finance department.

Salary: $50K (based on experience)
Summary: To ensure accurate accounting records for receivables and receipts within the company. This is a responsible, non-supervisory position. Duties include a variety of clerical and bookkeeping tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records, and preparing financial, statistical and/or technical reports.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform collection calls on delinquent accounts.
- Contact the customers for deductions on their cheques, investigates and relays this information to the proper department for resolution.
- Prepare a discrepancy list and follows up with the department if no reply is received.
- Prepare bank deposit, audit and post receipts.
- Processes intercompany payment and receipts.
- Prepare and mail customers’ account statements.
- Assist in providing back up documentation for audit requirements.
- Responsible for providing Quebec Customers with denunciations and releases upon occasion when Credit Supervisor is not available.
- Release blocked sales orders upon occasion when Credit Supervisor is not available.
- Back up for payroll clerk.
- Sort and send out mail upon occasion.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or secretarial assignments involving advanced record keeping.
- Superior PC skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- A team player with the willingness to learn and collaborate with others in the company.
- Must be able to multi-task.
Education: High school diploma with emphasis in business / commercial curriculum. Post secondary education is highly preferred.
