Tool & Die Makers - Day - Etobicoke

We are currently recruiting for: TOOL & DIE MAKERS Day Shift 

Salary is base on your previous experience. 

Location : Etobicoke 

Responsibilities

PRODUCTION

Depending on the skills and abilities of the individual, the following summary of responsibilities are assigned for each mould maker when completing a basic cut tool.

A) Tooling documents are received from the supervisor, discussed and left with the mould maker for further review. Search for errors.
B) Raw materials are retrieved and modified as necessary to complete the tool (e.g. plates, screws, blow needles). If necessary, request materials.
C) Mould halves are milled in preparation for mounting (not normally required for cut tools)
D) “Blue” tooling and revise/ bench where necessary.
E) Drill vents per guidelines and/or instructions.
F) Drill, Machine, bench and assemble mould (e.g. blending, vents, striker plates, pre-blow plates, parallels, mismatch, backplates, sand blasting, water testing, inserts, knockouts, etc.)
G) Complete engraving within assigned parameters.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Three (3) to ten (10) years of experience in mould making and injection/blow moulding field.
Detailed knowledge of blow moulding and injection moulding equipment and materials.
Ability to utilize bench and assembly tools.
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings (e.g. Blueprints/mylars)
Knowledge of CAD design and specialized machining experience.
Proactive in making recommendations for improvements to the processes, procedures and construction of blow mould tooling and related components.
Is in possession of the basic tools needed to complete the assigned job (i.e. Measuring tools, hand tools, optional power/pneumatic tools) or is willing to acquire the necessary tools within a reasonable time period.
