Forklift Operator Newmarket (Afternoon Shift)
We are looking for multiple AFTERNOON SHIFT forklift operators ASAP.
Our client is a supplier of suspension parts and welded assemblies in the automotive industry, manufacturing front and rear lower control arms, links, stabilizer bars and various welded assemblies. We are looking for a night shift Forklift Operator to provide materials to the assembly lines on a timely basis.
Location: Newmarket, East Gwillimbury (Leslie and Green Lane East)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare bar code labels for bins of material.
- Remove full bins to designated area.
- Responsible for unloading profile material from trucks.
- Responsible for returning material to inventory.
- Responsible for removing/moving scrap containers when full.
- Responsible for picking inventory and lot control using bar scanner.
- Responsible for assigning lot numbers to unidentified profile material.
- Deliver material to the work centers as assigned.
- Ensure that the forklift checklist is adhered to.
- Ensure that the work area and machinery is clean and safe at all times.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years exp as a material handler with a valid or recently expired Counterbalance forklift license.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with good communication& interpersonal skills.
- Must have safety shoes and safety glasses.
(You will be provided in house training + licensing)
