A leading plastic fabrication company is hiring Lid Line Operators to start immediately.
Working location: Summerstown, ON
Shift: Day, Afternoon and Night
Pay rate: $22/hr plus shift premium
Candidates MUST be available to start working immediately!
Job Duties:
- Comply with all EHS policies, procedures, and safe work instructions in place
- Read and reference a machine-operating manual.
- Initiates work orders as needed to maintain equipment and ensure efficiencies.
- Actively engaged in the upkeep for the equipment, maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
- Effectively communicates problems to the Lead Hand, Production Coordinator or the relevant department manager.
- Perform statistical measurements and records results as prescribed utilizing calculators, calipers, etc.
- Completes all production reports, as required.
- Instruct, train and evaluate employees as required to ensure business continuity.
- Ensures lock-out/tag-out procedures are adhered to.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives such as 2P events, etc. as required.
- Perform daily raw material inventory audits and reports.
- Familiarity with PLC controls and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for compliance with all aspects of GMP, food safety and quality initiatives.
Job Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing experiences is an asset
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience in Thermoforming / Extrusion
- Math Skills (calculators to determine and record production data)
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding mechanical systems
- Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve minor machine issues relating to its operation
- Understanding of production measurement tools such as level, etc.
- Detailed record keeping
- Manual Dexterity
- Hand/eye coordination
- Attention to detail
